When will Sonomos Desktop be available?
We haven't announced a release date yet. Reach out through the contact page to request early access and we'll be in touch as soon as builds are available.
How is Desktop different from the browser extension?
The browser extension protects what you type into web-based AI tools. Sonomos Desktop extends that same protection system-wide — covering native apps like ChatGPT Desktop and Claude Desktop, on-device models like Ollama, and AI assistants embedded in your IDE or terminal.
Will the browser extension keep working alongside Desktop?
Both are planned to run side by side, but specifics are still being finalized. We'll share more once we're closer to release.
Will my extension settings or data transfer to Desktop?
Settings will migrate in the short term. Detection data will not — Sonomos never stores prompts or sensitive content, so there is nothing to transfer, and that won't change.
Is anything sent to the cloud?
No. All detection, masking, and restoration happens entirely on your device. Nothing is ever sent to us or to any third party.
What pricing will Sonomos Desktop have?
