Locke, by Sonomos · Coming Soon

    DESKTOP APP · 100% LOCAL

    Privacy everywhere you use AI.

Locke is a desktop app that adds a system-wide privacy layer, protecting sensitive data in any AI tool you use — not just your browser. It detects sensitive data with 36 checksum-validated regex detectors and 70+ semantic categories, masks it with reversible encryption before it reaches the AI, and restores it seamlessly in the reply. All processing happens on your device, so your data stays yours.

    WHY DESKTOP

Your browser isn't the only place you use AI.

Locke protects every AI app on your computer — including native apps like ChatGPT Desktop, Claude Desktop, Ollama, and any IDE or tool that talks to an AI — not just what happens inside your browser.

    WHAT'S INSIDE

    Core features

    System-wide coverage

Protects every AI app on your machine — from ChatGPT Desktop to Ollama to your IDE's AI assistant.

    Agentic privacy engine

Specialized agents work together to detect, mask, and verify sensitive data in real time — adapting to context instead of relying on rigid rules.

    Automatic masking & restore

Sensitive data is hidden before it reaches the AI, then seamlessly restored in the response.

    36 detectors, 70+ categories

Checksum-validated regex catches SSNs, credit cards, and API keys; semantic detection adds 70+ categories, from health records to case numbers, with AI-powered context awareness.

    100% local

All processing happens on your device; nothing is ever sent to us or the cloud.

    Injection & Unicode defense

Blocks prompt injection attacks and hidden Unicode tricks before they reach the model.

    Cross-platform

Native apps for Windows and Linux at launch, with macOS to follow.

    DESKTOP ONLY

What a browser sandbox can't do.

Capabilities that only make sense — and are only possible — when Locke runs as a native app on your device.

    Local LLM support

Protects prompts to Ollama, LM Studio, and other on-device models a browser sandbox can't see.

    CLI & IDE coverage

Shields AI assistants in Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, and terminal-based agents.

    Team workspace

Shared policies, role-based admin controls, and peer-to-peer encrypted sync between teammates — no central server.

    Offline mode

Full detection and masking works with zero network connectivity.

    File & clipboard scanning

Opt-in inspection of documents and pasted content before they're sent to any AI tool.

    Deeper hardware acceleration

Native access for faster, more accurate detection than a sandboxed tool can achieve.

    Compliance audit trail

Local, tamper-evident logs for SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR reporting (Individual & Teams plans).

    QUESTIONS

    Locke FAQ

    When will Locke be available?

We haven't announced a release date yet. Reach out through the contact page to request early access and we'll be in touch as soon as builds are available.

    What does Locke protect?

Locke, the Sonomos desktop app, extends protection system-wide — covering native apps like ChatGPT Desktop and Claude Desktop, on-device models like Ollama, and AI assistants embedded in your IDE or terminal. Every AI tool on your machine, not just your browser.

Will my settings or data transfer to Locke?

Detection data is never stored — Locke never keeps prompts or sensitive content, so there is nothing to transfer, and that won't change.

Is anything sent to the cloud?

No. All detection, masking, and restoration happens entirely on your device. Nothing is ever sent to us or to any third party.

    What pricing will Locke have?

Pricing is still being finalized. Request early access and you'll lock in launch pricing — and we'll give you a heads-up the moment details are published.
